LG Smart Deadbolt Lock

The LG Smart Deadbolt Lock combines electronic access control with a conventional mechanical deadbolt, offering several ways to secure and enter a home. Its most distinctive capability is hands-free unlocking through Apple home key and Ultra Wideband technology, which detects when an authorized user approaches the door with a compatible iPhone or Apple Watch.

Alternative access methods include tapping an iPhone or Apple Watch, entering a PIN on the illuminated circular keypad, or using a physical key. Through the Apple Home app, homeowners can create individual access permissions, assign visitor schedules, and receive notifications about door activity.

A built-in orientation and movement sensor determines whether the door is open or closed without a separate magnetic contact sensor. Adjustable automatic locking helps prevent doors from remaining unsecured, while tamper detection can trigger an alarm and notification.

The lock features a rounded graphite interior housing and circular exterior keypad. Four AA batteries provide an estimated six months of operation, while a USB-C emergency power connection provides an alternative when the batteries are depleted.
