Smart light maker Lipro saw a massive batch of 126 new Matter lights certified by the Connectivity Standards Alliance (CSA) on Nov. 25. This marks a significant leap for the firm since its debut in the Matter ecosystem with a single bridge certification in 2023. The brand is a subsidiary of Dream Smart Group, a joint venture between EV vendor Geely and phone manufacturer Meizu.
The Chinese firm is known for making cutting-edge (Ra97 color rendering index) and sleek smart lights, focusing on premium household illumination similar to Yeelight or Lutron rather than RGB ambiance brands like Philips Hue. While Lipro previously stepped into smart home integration using a HomeKit and Matter bridge M2W1, this massive wave of certifications reveals an obvious and aggressive shift toward native Matter support via Wi-Fi.
A whole collection of smart light
The new certification covers 126 models, creating a comprehensive portfolio that ranges from essential illumination to specialized eye-care devices.
All models are certified under the Matter 1.4.1 specification, with Wi-Fi as the only option for connectivity. However, Wi-Fi-only commissioning is technically only available starting with Matter 1.4.2, leaving the certification specification a mystery. This discrepancy could suggest that all the lights need to be set up via the vendor app first to enable Matter, or that these are firmware updates to existing models that enable Matter functionality on current hardware.
Ambient and natural lighting
A standout portion of the lineup focuses on atmospheric and natural lighting simulation. This includes the Lipro Sky Light, a device designed to simulate a natural blue sky to create an outdoor visual experience indoors, and the Canopy Light, which projects light and shadow effects onto the ceiling for artistic ambiance. The collection also features flexible LED light strips for outlining decorations and the Star Ring series, which focuses on creating specific moods and scene atmospheres through soft, decorative illumination.

Ceiling and main fixtures
For general household illumination, Lipro has certified a wide range of ceiling-mounted fixtures. This includes ultra-thin panel lights for modern homes and offices, standard ceiling lights for living rooms and bedrooms, and specialized dining pendant lights designed to focus illumination on tables to enhance mealtime ambiance. The lineup is rounded out by surface-mounted spotlights and downlights, which offer directional lighting without the need for recessed installation, making them ideal for renovation projects.

Functional and specialized lamps
The certification also covers a variety of portable and functional lighting. This category includes bedside lamps for reading, low-intensity night lights, and footlights installed at low heights for safety guidance in corridors. A unique addition is the phone eye-care light, a portable source built into or attached to a phone for temporary lighting or photo fill. Additionally, the brand is introducing outdoor-rated balcony lights featuring water resistance and a practical fan light that combines illumination with cooling functions.

Ecosystem background
Lipro is an IoT brand under the Dream Smart Group parent entity formed by Geely and Meizu. This group operates as a Xiaomi rival, producing Electronic Vehicles (EV) and smartphones as a cohesive whole ecosystem. Few companies have achieved such a large ecosystem, as even Apple and Google do not produce such a wide range of in-house devices, spanning from cars to home automation. Lipro products are currently available in the Chinese and Japanese markets. As of press time, the firm has yet to respond to inquiries regarding the global availability of these newly certified devices.
Some of the models are already available in Chinese local e-commerce platforms and Japanese vendor sites.
