Apple has announced HomeView, a 7-inch smart home display, alongside a fourth-generation Apple TV 4K and HomePod mini 2 with Matter hub built-in. The display brings a dedicated touchscreen to Apple’s home lineup, with tabletop and wall-mounted versions.
The launches give Apple Home users more ways to manage connected devices, from a shared screen to hands-free controls through the television. They also arrive alongside “second party” accessories developed with LG and Schneider as leaked previously, extending Apple’s involvement beyond the hubs and software into the devices they control.
Apple HomeView
HomeView uses an A18 chip and a square Liquid Retina touchscreen with a resolution of 1,088 by 1,088 pixels. A 12-megapixel Center Stage camera handles video calls, while built-in temperature and humidity sensors provide environmental readings like HomePods. The tabletop version combines two full-range drivers with a woofer and passive radiators; the wall-mounted model uses two full-range drivers. An additional PoE mount made by Schneider Home is also optional.

For smart home control, the screen provides access to compatible HomeKit and Matter accessories, including lights, thermostats, locks and blinds. A camera dashboard can display nine live feeds simultaneously, giving households a way to check several areas from one screen.
HomeView recognizes up to six people and presents their individual content. Access to personal information depends on face recognition and a paired device’s presence and recent unlock status. Siri AI can also draw on personal context, but that requires a compatible Apple Intelligence-enabled iPhone or iPad.
Connectivity includes Wi-Fi 6E with MIMO, Bluetooth 6.0 and Thread, suggesting the in-house N1 network chipset is missing.
Apple TV 4K
The fourth-generation Apple TV 4K moves to an A19 chip and adds three far-field microphones. Users can issue Siri commands without reaching for the remote, making the TV box another voice control entry for the home. The processor also adds hardware AV1 decoding, while the updated Siri Remote gains Precision Finding and an audible locator, like the Google TV Streamer 4K.

Apple TV continues to act as a home hub for compatible HomeKit and Matter accessories, supporting automations and remote access.
The device packs 128GB of storage, Gigabit Ethernet, HDMI 2.1, likely N1 chip for Wi-Fi 7 with 2x2 MIMO, Bluetooth 6 and Thread.
A new four-speaker surround setup works with HomePod mini 2 and second-generation HomePod speakers. The front pair and rear pair must use matching models. Siri AI will also support Apple TV 4K models from the second generation onward, separating the assistant update from the new box’s hardware features.
HomePod mini 2
HomePod mini 2 uses Apple’s S10 chip and adds Sound Glow, which illuminates the speaker’s top with colors drawn from album artwork and animations that respond to music. It can also serve as a Mac’s default speaker.

The compact speaker remains a home hub for HomeKit and Matter accessories. Its temperature and humidity sensors can report readings for Home app automations, while Sound Recognition listens for smoke and carbon monoxide alarms and sends notifications to personal devices.
Its wireless connectivity gets a great upgrade as well from the previous model, including Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth, and Thread.
Apple says Siri AI will arrive in a future update, with personal-context functions requiring a paired Apple Intelligence-enabled iPhone or iPad.
“Second party” accessories
There is also a whole line of Apple HomeKit and Matter accessories Apple developed with LG and Schneider.
LG’s camera lineup includes a dual-camera doorbell for visitors and packages, a floodlight camera, an outdoor camera and an indoor model that tilts down when someone returns home. Its deadbolt supports Matter, Aliro and UWB for compatible hands-free entry.

LG and Schneider each contribute a Matter thermostat and temperature/humidity sensor. Both thermostats support Apple’s Adaptive Temperature like Aqara W200 Thermostat. Every Collection accessory supports Thread, although Apple omits radio versions and does not confirm camera Matter support. Setup uses iPhone NFC, with management through Apple Home and no separate account.
