Govee has officially launched the Table Lamp 2 Pro x Sound by JBL, a new smart lighting product that combines full-spectrum RGB lighting, built-in audio, and support for the Matter standard. The launch follows an earlier preview at CES and continues the company’s expansion into multi-functional ambient lighting designed for personal spaces.
Such devices can be a great addition to any home, filling the space with sound and light. Their portability and built-in batteries also make them ideal companions for outdoor use, such as small gatherings in the yard.
Customizable light effect
The lamp features 210 individually addressable RGBICWW LEDs and an upgraded chipset that enables more responsive light effects. Its circular base and elevated light ring are designed to provide 360-degree illumination with up to 600 lumens of brightness.
Govee says the device reacts to sound in 32 milliseconds and delivers visuals that are 20 percent sharper than the previous generation. More than 100 lighting presets are available, and users can adjust brightness and color temperature manually. The lamp covers a color range between 2700K and 6500K, intended to suit a variety of settings from reading corners to bedroom setups.
The lamp also supports Govee’s DreamView feature, which can synchronize effects across up to ten compatible Govee devices.
Portable audio
Audio is provided by a 2.5-inch speaker housed in a 500cc acoustic chamber, tuned using JBL’s equalization algorithms. When two lamps are paired over a 5.8GHz Wi-Fi connection, stereo sound and synchronized lighting are enabled. This setup aims to enhance compact entertainment zones with unified light and audio effects.
The lamp includes a 5200mAh battery that allows up to 4.5 hours of portable operation at 50 percent brightness and volume.
Smart home integration is available via Matter, with control options available via voice or the Govee Home app.
The Table Lamp 2 Pro x Sound by JBL will be available starting June 23 on Govee’s website, Amazon, and Sam’s Club online store for $179.99.
