Govee announced its 2026 line-up ahead of CES in Las Vegas, introducing a series of new smart lights that support the Matter standard. The company highlighted a new floor lamp and two ceiling fixtures, all of which feature updated color technologies and integration with major smart home ecosystems. This launch marks Govee’s continued shift toward supporting open standards alongside its proprietary features with innovative RGB lighting products.

Govee Floor Lamp 3

The Govee Floor Lamp 3 (H16B0) is the newest version of the vendor’s standalone corner lamp. It offers a brightness of 1,900 lumens and supports a wide color temperature range from 1,000K to 10,000K.

This expanded range allows the lamp to produce extremely warm, candle-like tones for relaxation as well as cool, blue-white light for productivity. The device connects via Wi-Fi and Bluetooth and is fully compatible with Matter. This allows users to control the lamp locally through platforms like Apple Home, Home Assistant, Google Home, and Amazon Alexa without relying solely on the Govee app.

New flagship ceiling fixtures

Govee also introduced two flagship fixtures for ceiling installation. The Govee Ceiling Light Ultra (H1270) serves as both a primary light source and a creative display.

It features a matrix of 616 LEDs that can render patterns and animations, effectively turning the fixture into a low-resolution pixel canvas. It provides 5,000 lumens of brightness and covers a standard white temperature range of 2,700K to 6,500K.

The Govee Sky Ceiling Light (H12D0) is designed to mimic natural daylight in enclosed spaces. It uses gradient illumination to simulate the look of a skylight, aiming to improve the atmosphere in windowless rooms. It offers the highest brightness of the new trio at 5,200 lumens. Like the Ultra model, it supports Matter and connects directly to AC mains power.

Software and adaptive lighting

The hardware launch coincides with updates to Govee’s underlying software technologies. “LuminBlend+” is a new color management system introduced with the Floor Lamp 3. It utilizes a 16-bit chip and Gamma calibration to ensure smoother color transitions and consistent hues at varying brightness levels.

Govee is also releasing “DaySync,” an adaptive lighting feature designed to align indoor lighting with the time of day. Similar to Apple’s Adaptive Lighting, DaySync automatically adjusts brightness and color temperature to mimic natural sunlight patterns. This feature is scheduled to roll out to new indoor products starting in April 2026. Additionally, the company updated its “AI Lighting Bot 2.0,” which uses generative models to create custom lighting effects based on user input.

Growing ecosystem

The new product series supports the Matter standard, ensuring local control and interoperability across major smart home platforms for basic control. We have seen similar options from brands like LIFX, which are typically available in North America.

Additionally, there are dozens of updated basic lights and a new series of edison bulbs coming soon. As Govee continues to explore the primary lighting market alongside its signature RGB features, the Matter ecosystem now offers more distinct options for users.

In addition to Matter support, Govee also announced a partnership with Samsung SmartThings. This integration allows the devices to work seamlessly within the SmartThings ecosystem, potentially offering features that go beyond the standard Matter specification.
