First introduced way back at CES 2026 in Las Vegas, AiDot has finally launched its unique, flame-simulating smart light bulb under its Linkind sub-brand. In case you missed it, the Matter-compatible Linkind Smart Light Stick transforms ordinary light fixtures into sources of comfort and ambiance with realistic flickering effects, RGBTW multicolor capabilities, and full-range dimming.

Linkind Smart Light Stick: 16 million colors across 50 zones

True to its name, the Linkind Smart Light Stick forgoes the traditional rounded smart light bulb design in favor of a slimmer "stick" form factor. According to its specifications, the 8-watt bulb measures 2.24"W x 5.15"H and sports a standard E26 medium base, allowing it to work with fixtures of all types indoors and out with its UV-resistant construction.

Inside the bulb are 160 high-density LEDs that produce up to 850 lumens of light across 50 controllable lighting zones—the main driver behind its signature flame effects. The bulb's LEDs support 16 million colors as well as adjustable white temperatures with a range of 1000K to 6500K, and support full, 1-100% dimming.

As with all Matter-compatible smart light bulbs, Linkind's latest offering supports all the major smart home ecosystems, including Apple Home, Samsung SmartThings, Amazon Alexa, and Google Home. The bulb can be paired directly over 2.4GHz Wi-Fi without the need for additional hardware outside a Matter Controller, and it doesn't require an account.

Although features may vary, users should expect to see essential Matter functionality through their preferred ecosystem. This includes features such as quick power toggles, remote out-of-home controls, dimming, color and temperature adjustments, and voice assistant compatibility.

While it supports Matter right out of the box, getting the most out of the new bulb requires downloading the AiDot mobile app. Through the app, users can customize the bulb's flame effects with adjustments for speed, height, and brightness, and additional colors can even be added to the mix through the company's DIY Studio and Dotis AI Effect Creation features.

The Linkind app also provides Music Sync functionality, scheduling, and automation with other Linkind devices. And, it enables direct local control during a Wi-Fi outage or when experiencing a spotty connection, thanks to its built-in Bluetooth radio.

Linkind Smart Light Stick: pricing and availability

The Linkind Smart Light Stick is available for purchase now through Amazon in the United States, with deliveries slated for late next week/early June. As of the time of this post, the bulb is only available as a single unit for $39.99; however, Linkind has two listings for it, suggesting that multi-pack bundles may be hitting the retailer soon.

The O.G. bulb impressed us with its affordable price point and hassle-free Wi-Fi experience, and it has only gotten better over time through firmware updates that brought it up to Matter 1.4 specifications.
