ThirdReality—the Shanghai-based smart technology brand best known for its vast catalog of rather unique product offerings—is showcasing its latest innovations once again at this year's Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, Nevada. For this year’s CES, the company is showing off updated, Matter versions of several smart home essentials, as well as a new line-up of ZigBee sensors.

Matter makeovers and a clever solution for garage doors

Up first, a few of ThirdReality’s classics—like its sleek nightlight combo, and its tiny, yet important water leak sensor—will be getting an upgrade this year with new Matter over Wi-Fi versions. With native Matter support, users can pair the company's upcoming devices right out of the box with a simple scan of a QR pairing code.

ThirdReality is also highlighting its smart solution for garage doors, with a device similar to its MT1 Finger-bot Switch.

Smart Presence Night Light Gen 2 with Clock

ThirdReality’s compact 4-in-1 Smart Presence Night Light Gen 2 combines an RGB LED light with ambient light sensing and 60GHz mmWave presence detection with a built-in clock.

Smart Water Leak Sensor KM1

As its name suggests, the ThirdReality Smart Water Leak Sensor KM1 monitors bathrooms, kitchens, and basements for potential water leaks, and gives owners timely alerts to help prevent flood damage.

Smart Garage Door Opener

The incredibly clever ThirdReality Smart Garage Door Opener works with existing garage door remotes through the use of a mechanical finger, enabling out-of-home control and monitoring without any additional wiring or modifications.

An all-new suite of smart sensors with ZigBee

Alongside its native Matter over Wi-Fi devices, ThirdReality also showed off a new suite of sensors based on the tried and true ZigBee protocol. As with other ThirdReality ZigBee devices, the following can be brought over to Matter with the company’s Smart Bridge MZ1:

Smart Soil Sensor Gen 2

An updated version of ThirdReality’s wireless smart soil sensor for keeping track of the health and well-being of plants, with a reinforced chassis and improved RF performance. The new enhancements aim to provide more accurate insights.

Smart Presence Sensor R2

The Smart Presence Sensor R2 is an affordable battery-powered 24GHz mmWave presence sensor with a flexible wire-free design that can be placed just about anywhere.

Smart Presence Sensor R3

Like the R2, the Smart Presence Sensor R3 utilizes mmWave technology (60GHz) that provides “room-level” awareness for use in automation. The R3 also adds in ambient light sensing, VOC monitoring, and an integrated nightlight.

Looking ahead to Matter-over-Thread

Thirdreality ces2026 booth roadmap

In addition to the products shown off at CES 2026, ThirdReality states that it will be focusing on expanding its smart home portfolio with a “strong focus” on Matter-over-Thread technologies over the coming year. The company cites Thread’s energy efficiency and wireless mesh networking capabilities as a key factor that will deliver high levels of performance and reliability that scales consistently with today’s ever-growing smart home environment.
