Aqara Power Plug H2 UK

The Aqara Power Plug H2 UK (RGB) adds remote control, scheduling and energy monitoring to standard UK appliances. Its compact, rounded body is designed to avoid blocking neighbouring sockets, while the 13 A rating supports devices ranging from lamps and televisions to heaters drawing up to 3,250 W.

It can connect through Matter over Thread or Aqara Zigbee. Thread provides access to major Matter ecosystems with a compatible controller and border router, while Zigbee enables additional Aqara functions through an Aqara hub. The plug also acts as a Thread or Zigbee router, extending the surrounding mesh network.

Power usage can be viewed in real time or as daily and monthly data. Changes in consumption can trigger automations, such as sending a notification when a washing machine finishes. Charging protection switches the outlet off after consumption remains below 3 W for 30 minutes, while idle use is no more than 0.4 W.

The RGB indicator can display the plug’s status or provide coloured automation alerts. Overload and overheating protection cut power automatically, and a child lock prevents accidental operation of the physical button.
