Combining the Philips Dynalite Touchscreen (PDTS) with the Philips Ethernet Gateway, the new Philips Dynalite Matter Bridge is a wall-mounted, powered device providing remote control of smart home devices via apps and smart assistants.
Gaining certification by the Connectivity Standards Alliance (CSA) means the device will ship in packaging bearing the Matter logo.
What is the Philips Dynalite Matter Bridge
Essentially a central control unit for Matter and networked smart home gear using Ethernet and DyNet, the Philips Dynalite Matter Bridge was announced in July 2025.
It uses two key Philips Dynalite devices: the Philips Dynalite Touch Screen (PDTS v2) and the Ethernet Gateway (PDDEGS v2 & v3).
The device is wall-mounted with full electrical and network (RJ45) connectivity via the mounting cavity, and ships with the necessary installation gear. As a Matter device, control can be via your preferred compatible smart home platform and voice assistant.
The Philips Dynalite Touch Screen interface
Like Philips Hue, Dynalite is a Signify brand, but whereas Hue is for the home, Philips Dynalite is targeted at businesses installing smart tech. This might be in retail, hospitality, or in offices. Like the Aqara Edge Hub M300, it might even be installed for residential areas, like gated communities or retirement homes.

Aqara Hub M300
A multi-protocol, Matter-compatible hub that manages up to 500 devices, suitable for both advanced smart homes and professional automation setups.
As such, it is suitable for smart lighting control, fans, curtains, and any other smart home tech that needs remote access on a network. That potentially means controlling everything from a single location – ideal for large properties.
The PDTS’s interface offers floor plans, with touchscreen controls. It also sports its own temperature and humidity sensor and a proximity sensor.
Custom control options
Comparisons with the Aqara Edge Hub M300 continue, as the Philips Dynalite Matter Bridge also has a dedicated software.
Also available is a customization tool, the Color Touchscreen PDTS UI Creator (a catchier name may arrive later) for commissioning technicians. This software features a drag-and-drop interface with System Builder integration, enabling the design of custom controls for and functions for connected projects.
The release date for this Matter bridge is yet to be announced. However, Philips also has the Hue Bridge, which offers Matter bridge connectivity but without the swanky touchscreen.

Philips Hue Bridge
The Philips Hue Bridge, a gateway device by Signify, uses Zigbee for instant light response and enables Matter, a universal smart home standard, allowing seamless integration with other smart home brands and ensuring your lighting and accessories are always connected, even when Wi-Fi is down.
