At CES 2026, Xthings unveiled several updates to its Ultraloq and Ulticam product lines, focusing on the transition to a more integrated home entry experience. The company’s new products are built on the “Smart Access” concept, which combines proximity sensing and biometric identity to automate home security.

A major part of this release is the planned support for the “Aliro” standard, a new industry protocol designed to create a universal digital key that works across major platforms, including iOS and Android.

Ultraloq Latch 7 Pro and universal digital keys

The Ultraloq Latch 7 Pro is a flagship smart lock designed for both residential and professional use. It is engineered to meet industrial requirements (BHMA and ANSI), ensuring high standards for durability and security. A primary feature of this model is its planned support for Aliro, which aims to standardize how digital keys work on smartphones and wearables. This Matter-parallel standard backed by the Connectivity Standard Alliance (CSA) will eventually allow a single digital key to open doors from different manufacturers without needing a specific brand app.

In addition to Aliro, the Latch 7 Pro supports Matter-over-Thread for local, fast connectivity. This ensures the lock remains responsive even if cloud services are unavailable. For properties that require long-distance coverage, the lock also includes Z-Wave 800 series support. This technology uses Z-Wave Long Range to reach detached buildings or distant gates, reducing the need for network repeaters in large installations.

Ultraloq Bolt Sense and advanced biometrics

The Ultraloq Bolt Sense focuses on a “walk-up and enter” experience by using a person’s unique physical identity as the credential. This deadbolt combines 3D facial recognition with palm vein authentication. Unlike standard fingerprint scanners, palm vein technology uses infrared light to read the patterns beneath the skin’s surface. This method is often more reliable for users with wet hands, worn fingerprints, or when their hands are full.

Bolt sense 1

The Bolt Sense features active approach sensing, which detects a user’s presence and starts the authentication process automatically. It also includes advanced infrared sensors designed to work in conditions ranging from total darkness to bright daylight. The device has built-in Wi-Fi and is targeted to support Matter 1.4 standard.

Precision entry with Ultra-Wideband

The Ultraloq Bolt Mission UWB uses Ultra-Wideband technology to provide a highly accurate hands-free unlocking experience. Unlike older auto-unlock systems that could trigger accidentally, UWB offers centimeter-level precision, according to Xthings. This allows the lock to detect exactly which side of the door the user is on and only unlock when they are intentionally approaching from the outside.

Ulticam security cameras and AI video summaries

The Ulticam security camera line has been updated with features designed to make recorded video more understandable. The new Ulticam IQ V2 features 4K imaging and real-time on-device detection. To solve the problem of reviewing long stretches of footage, Xthings utilizes Google Gemini to generate contextual video summaries. This intelligence analyzes recorded events and creates short reports, allowing users to understand activity without watching every clip. Xthings noted the IQ V2 camera is “planned to support Matter.”

The Ulticam IQ Floodlight brings these AI features to exterior areas like driveways and yards. It combines a powerful floodlight with edge AI detection to capture clearer footage after dark. Another new model, the Ulticam HaLow, is one of the first cameras to use the 802.11ah standard, known as Wi-Fi HaLow. This sub-GHz technology allows the camera to penetrate walls and reach distances far beyond traditional Wi-Fi, making it suitable for large estates or remote perimeters. However, if Wi-Fi HaLow is eligible for a Matter certification is still unclear.

Product availability

The Ultraloq Bolt Mission UWB is currently available for purchase at $299.99. The Ultraloq Latch 7 Pro is scheduled to launch in the first quarter of 2026. The Ultraloq Bolt Sense is planned for a release later in the second quarter. New Bolt, Latch 3, Latch 7 locks are also coming from February 28.

For cameras, Ulticam IQ V2, Ulticam IQ Floodlight, and Ulticam HaLow system are expected to arrive in the first quarter of 2026.
