Smart home platform Athom has launched two dedicated, free apps in the Homey App Store to integrate LEDVANCE SMART+ and OSRAM SMART+ devices into its ecosystem.
These open up integration, control, and automation options for compatible devices within the app, without requiring individual apps for LEDVANCE SMART+ and OSRAM SMART+ Zigbee and Matter-based lighting solutions.
What does this mean for Matter smart homes?
If you already use the OSRAM SMART+ or LEDVANCE SMART+ apps independently of your main Matter smart home app, the latest update to the Homey app integrates the functions of the apps into one place.

Supported devices include classic and candle style bulbs, spotlights (PAR16/P40), LED strips, tunable white panels, switches, and smart plugs with power metering (and those without). With Matter’s march towards breaking down brand lock-in, the upgrade to the Homey app targets households that already own LEDVANCE or OSRAM lighting but haven't yet tied them into a unified multi-brand home automation setup.
Changes to the Homey app
To experience the new features in the Homey app, you will need to ensure it has updated.
Thanks to the OSRAM SMART+ or LEDVANCE SMART+ apps being folded in, you can now manage on/off states via the Homey app, along with dimming and setting RGB colors and color temperatures. Homey’s Flow and Advanced Flow support automated routines with these devices, too.
As you can see in the Homey app, the OSRAM SMART+ or LEDVANCE SMART+ functions are smartly included. Simply search for “osram” or “ledvance” to reveal the compatible bulbs and plugs, add them to your smart home app, and commence remote control, scheduling, and integrations.
If you use the Homey Pro or Pro mini, native Matter and Zigbee support for the OSRAM and LEDVANCE SMART+ bulbs is available as soon as you update the app. However, Homey Cloud/Self-Hosted users will require a Homey Bridge for Zigbee compatibility and a Thread Border Router for Matter-over-Thread features.
