Homey Pro (2026) is designed to bring order to complex smart homes. Instead of juggling multiple bridges and apps, it consolidates control of lighting, climate, security, entertainment, and energy devices into one compact hub. With expanded RAM compared to previous versions, it supports larger device networks and more intricate automations without slowing down as your setup grows.
At its core is Homey’s local-first architecture. Automations run directly on the device, reducing reliance on cloud services and keeping data stored on the hub itself. This approach allows for faster response times and continued operation even when internet connectivity is limited.
What sets this hub apart is its support for seven integrated wireless technologies: Wi-Fi, Zigbee, Z-Wave Plus, Bluetooth Low Energy, Infrared, Matter, and Thread. By combining traditionally separate ecosystems into one controller, it eliminates the need for multiple dedicated bridges. Infrared support even allows control of legacy devices such as TVs or receivers that lack modern smart connectivity.
