Athom B.V.—an LG sub-brand—has introduced an updated version of its flagship Homey Pro smart home hub for 2026. While its core capabilities remain the same, the updated Homey Pro (2026) now features twice the amount of memory, giving it the ability to run more apps than ever before.
Homey Pro (2026): What's new?

As we just mentioned, the brand new 2026 Homey Pro model gets a small but significant boost in memory, going from 2GB of RAM to 4GB total. According to Homey, RAM in the Pro hub powers behind-the-scenes device processes and live data, and it is crucial for maintaining smooth performance.
The added RAM also expands the number of official Homey and community apps that the new hub can run. Although Homey doesn't provide an exact number, the company states that the new hub supports "well over 100 apps, giving your smart home room to grow", going beyond the amount quoted for the 2023 model.

For those new to Homey, apps allow the company's hub to run integrations directly from many popular vendors like Philips Hue, IKEA, and Aqara. The Homey Pro sports Wi-Fi, Thread, Zigbee, Z-Wave, Bluetooth LE, Infrared, and 433 MHz radios internally, giving it the ability to serve as an all-in-one smart home hub that Homey markets as a privacy-first solution with minimal cloud dependencies.
Like its predecessor, the Homey Pro (2026) supports the recently released Matter Bridge app, which, as its name suggests, allows users to bring previously unsupported smart home devices over to Matter. Once in Matter, users can add devices that didn't play nicely with ecosystems like Apple Home to their respective apps, unlocking more automation possibilities.
Homey Pro (2026): pricing and availability

Despite getting a spec bump, the new Homey Pro (2026) is now available for the same price as the previous model—$399/€399—through homey.app. Orders for the updated hub will be served on a first-come, first-served basis, and additional accessories, such as an Ethernet adapter, are also available for purchase.
The new release follows last week's global launch of the Homey Pro mini, which forgoes built-in Wi-Fi in favor of a lower starting price of $199/€249.
