LEDVANCE has joined the Works with Home Assistant (WWHA) program, bringing 116 Matter-over-Wi-Fi devices into the certified ecosystem, one of the largest product lineups announced by a participating manufacturer.
LEDVANCE, established in 2016 following the separation of OSRAM’s general lighting business, continues to sell lighting products under the OSRAM brand through a licensing agreement. Its smart home portfolio has expanded to include a wide range of connected lighting products.
The partnership adds the range that have undergone compatibility testing with Home Assistant via Matter. It also brings another established lighting manufacturer into the program, following earlier partnerships with Aqara, Eve, and Motionblinds.
116 certified Matter devices
The certification covers a substantial part of LEDVANCE’s SMART+ lineup, including filament bulbs, spotlights, recessed and track downlights, ceiling and wall fixtures, floor lamps, and flexible LED strips.

Most models support adjustable white temperatures or full-color lighting. There are also weather-resistant products designed for bathrooms and outdoor spaces, including floodlights and garden spotlights.
Beyond lighting, LEDVANCE has included its SMART+ Plug and smart wall switches, allowing users to bring conventional appliances and lighting fixtures into Home Assistant automations.
All 116 certified products use Matter over Wi-Fi, connecting directly to Home Assistant through the built-in Matter Server without requiring a proprietary hub or Thread border router.
More than basic Matter compatibility
Joining the WWHA program goes beyond supporting the Matter standard. Manufacturers must work with the Home Assistant team to test their products and commit to maintaining local functionality and long-term compatibility.
According to the post by Home Assistant, all 116 LEDVANCE products were tested using its certified Matter integration over standard Wi-Fi connections, which are additional work on top of the standard Matter certification lab tests.
The program requires participating products to operate locally without depending on cloud services and deliver the functionality users would reasonably expect from their device categories.
This distinction matters because Matter certification alone does not guarantee that every feature works as expected across different platforms or that manufacturers will maintain the same level of support.
LEDVANCE has also committed to continued collaboration with the Home Assistant team, potentially extending certification to more products in the future.
A growing WWHA
LEDVANCE joins a growing group of manufacturers using Matter to achieve Works with Home Assistant certification. And now there are 517 certified devices in the database.
Earlier partnerships have included Aqara, which offers both native Matter devices and products connected through bridges, Eve with its Thread-based sensors and accessories, and Motionblinds with its smart window coverings. And more device manufacturers are encouraged to adopt open standards such as Matter to knock into the Home Assistant community.
Eve Energy
Eve Energy is a smart plug that allows you to control your home appliances with your voice or an app, supports Matter for cross-platform control, ensures privacy with local connectivity, and enhances your smart home network's stability and reach with cutting-edge Thread technology.
Aqara Presence Multi-Sensor FP300
A multi-functional presence sensor with PIR and mmWave detection, designed for seamless smart home integration with Thread and Zigbee support.
The LEDVANCE partnership really stands out for its scale and lighting-focused product selection, giving Home Assistant users more certified options for building whole-home lighting setups without relying on a proprietary ecosystem.
For consumers, the certification provides additional assurance that these products can continue operating locally even if the manufacturer’s cloud services become unavailable. And it sometimes happens to notable companies like Wemo as well.
It also reinforces the distinction between supporting an open standard and committing to reliable, long-term interoperability, an important part of the Works with Home Assistant program.
