Matter devices are described by standardized clusters — reusable capabilities like “On/Off”, “Thermostat”, or “Air Quality”. This dictionary explains what each one does and shows which products support it, so you can shop by what a device can actually do.
What is a cluster?
A cluster is a standard capability a device implements — the shared language that lets a light, lock, or sensor speak Matter. Each cluster covers one job.
What are features?
Inside a cluster, optional features add extra abilities. Manufacturers choose which to enable, so two devices with the same cluster can still differ in what they offer.
