Meross Smart Presence Sensor MS605

This upgraded Matter-over-Thread presence sensor combines radar, infrared, and ambient light detection to deliver highly accurate motion and presence sensing without relying on Wi-Fi or a proprietary hub.

The MS605 uses a Nordic Thread chipset and merges millimetre-wave radar with infrared detection to recognize both subtle human presence and typical motion. A built-in light sensor reports real-time brightness changes to Matter platforms, enabling more responsive automations. The foldable, fully rotatable stand supports ceiling, wall, or corner placement, while the IP67 waterproof housing and 3-year CR123A battery allow it to function reliably in areas ranging from humid bathrooms to cold basements and hot attics. It detects motion up to 6 m and precise presence within 4 m, making it suitable for anything from bedrooms to studies.
Through Matter over Thread, it connects directly to Apple Home, Google Home, Alexa, SmartThings, and Home Assistant, offering low-latency, local-only control. In the Meross app, the sensing area can be divided into three customizable zones that appear as separate sensors in third-party platforms, allowing layered automations such as lighting sequences or presence-based scene changes.
