The Sensereo MSC-1 is a combo smoke and carbon monoxide alarm that speaks Matter over Thread, so it joins your smart home like any other sensor and keeps power draw low. It pairs with Apple Home, Google Home, SmartThings, and Homey when a Thread Border Router is present, and still works as a standalone alarm if you never connect it. The unit uses a photoelectric chamber for smoke, an electrochemical cell for CO, and drives a clear 85 dB alert with a distinct LED pattern when trouble shows up. For CO, you also get an on-device LCD that shows real-time ppm, plus app notifications through your Matter platform of choice. It’s designed to EN14604 and EN50291, and aims for a 10-year service life with a user-replaceable CR123 battery that typically lasts about three years per cell.
