The Zemismart M1 Pro is a smart home hub that pulls several worlds together: Zigbee, Thread, and even old-school infrared gear like TVs and air conditioners. At the center of it is a Matter bridge, plus OpenThread Border Router support, which lets the hub pass connected devices into major Matter platforms such as Apple Home, Google Home, and SmartThings. In plain terms, it acts like a translator and traffic manager for your home, helping different device types live under one roof without turning the setup into a tangle of apps and workarounds.
What stands out here is the local-first design. The M1 Pro runs automations on the hub itself, so scenes and rules can keep working when the internet drops out. It also supports cross-gateway automations when multiple M1 Pro hubs are on the same network, and it keeps device lists and automation rules stored on-board, which makes recovery far less painful if a hub fails. On top of that, it includes a 360° IR blaster with six high-power emitters, dual-band Wi-Fi, 100 Mbps Ethernet, USB-C power, and a built-in RTC with coin battery for accurate timing offline. There is no microphone or camera either, which gives it a more private, appliance-like feel: always on, but not peeking over your shoulder.

Aug 26, 2026Zemismart M1 Pro Hub review: Probably not what you're looking for
The Zemismart M1 Hub Pro tries to be a Matter bridge, Zigbee gateway, Thread controller, and IR blaster all at once, but falls short. Thread support is frustrating, IR devices aren’t bridged into Matter, and Tuya remains a weak point. Most users should look elsewhere.
